Artist's Comments

I've been watercoloring on my textured paper lately. A thing I haven't done before, because I thought the paper would drink the whole thing before I had the chance to work with it, but finally it gives something interesting, even if i'm only beginning with it... The "larva" drawing was made in watercolor too, on the same paper.

It reminds me of Jack being so puzzled by Christmas.

I was thinking this and the last picture were both watercolored, I saw the bended paper, but in the last one it looked like you could've just been making those angular lines that shoot out of the center, so I wasn't sure.

If you want to minimize the warping of the paper, it's a good idea to brush clean water on the back side of the paper, tape it to a sturdy flat board, finish the illustration, and let it dry before removing it from the board. Working on heavier paper would also help, it the kind you use comes in a heavier type.

*thumbsup*
